The Department of Applied Physics of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena is located in the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering, in the Muralla del Mar Campus, and the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering, in the Alfonso XIII Campus.
Its research activity is mainly devoted to the study of transport phenomena by network simulation, quantum many body systems, astrophysics, and nanoparticles.
The educational activity is performed in the degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and Industrial Electronics, Industrial Chemical, Industrial Technologies, Horticulture and Gardening Design, Food Industry, Telecommunications Systems, Telematics, Building, Civil, Energy and Mineral Resources, Naval Architecture and Marine Systems Engineering, and Architecture.
The department is made up of teaching staff, and administration and technical support.
